It's really weird because it doesn't display the export window, not export process, nothing! it even crashes if I go to settings>destinations>Apple devices->crash report. MOV without motion when in Progressive.įinal Cut Pro X (10.4.2) crashes when I select apple devices or computer format to export FCPX was working just fine with macOS Mojave, I upgrade to Catalina this morning and when ever I want to export any project from any library to a MP4 format (Apple devices or computer) the program closes. In 3rd photo, lines are as smooth as the original. In the attached 1st photo, see small uneven lines circled and on body in "Lower First" under Field Dominance Override in Inspector. MOV file, coming in from a mini-DV SD tape recorded on a Panasonic DVX 100-A, is recognized in the Finder as being DV/DV Pro.

Changing from "Best Performance" to "Best Quality" in the Viewer doesn't correct this either, though it doe help in some respects. Activating the "Deinterlacing" in the Inspector doesn't correct this issue. When in the Inspector, if "Progressive" is activated for a clip, the footage looks normal until there is motion which at this point, the horizontal lines and ghosting associated with interlacing is again is seen. mov into FCP 10.4.8 The Quicktime file playback is fine when simply opened in Quicktime, and also playback fine prior to upgrading to Catalina, but when import to the original FCP X or the new upgrade 10.4.8, there is an issue that is best described as looking similar to a file that has interlacing issues. Seemingly interlace issue with Quicktime import.
